Dr. Jing Tao

Dentist, D.D.S.

Dr. Tao is dedicated to providing the best possible care to all of her patients. Her skills are especially appreciated by children (and their anxious parents), anyone who has ever felt nervous about going to the dentist, and patients whose previous experiences have kept them from seeking dental treatment. Dr. Tao's gentle touch, in-depth medical training, and keen observations allow her to treat potentially painful dental issues precisely, quickly and comfortably - and all without heavy sedation drugs. Plus, Dr. Tao sees more than a set of teeth - she sees the person sitting in her dental chair. Dr. Tao takes the time to listen to client concerns, explain procedures, and patiently review options. She is also fluent in Mandarin - a great plus for Kitchener-Waterloo's Chinese residents!

Dr. Tao earned her DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) at the University of Western Ontario in 2000 and has been practicing dentistry for over fifteen years. She opened Tao's Dentistry in Kitchener in 2007 and has been improving the smiles of patients ever since.

Emmaly

Registered Dental Assistant

Emmaly was born and raised in Kitchener. She attended Medix College, graduating with honors from the Dental Assisting program in 2017, and joined Dr. Tao's team shortly there after. This busy mom of two enjoys baking, watching movies, and going to the gym in her spare time. She is a geek at heart and can often be found making an appearance at local and not so local conventions. Emmaly has a passion for the dentistry field, and is very enthusiastic about continuing her education. She has a very patient and gentle approach, and strives to make every patient's appointment as easy and comfortable as possible.

Teresa

Treatment Coordinator

Teresa attended Niagara College, graduating with honors from the Dental Assisting Level 2 program in 1997, and joined Dr. Tao's team in 2015. This busy mom of two enjoys reading, crocheting, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family. During her spare time, she is now involved in Air Cadets as a Civilian Instructor with her two children and spends lots of time at the gymnastics club watching her son train for competitions. Although very busy she enjoys working part-time in the dental office scheduling appointments and helping with insurance issues. She strives to make booking your appointment as easy as possible and is always there to answer all your questions or concerns.

Kimberley

Registered Dental Hygienist

Kimberley is very happy to have the opportunity to join Dr. Tao and the dental team. She brings with her 30 years of experience and is eager to share her knowledge and skill with all of you. When not at work, her other labor of love is community theater. She also enjoys cycling, golf, and has most recently taken up curling. Make an appointment to see Kimberley today! Paula

Registered Dental Hygienist

Paula has been in dentistry since 2002. Her love of dentistry has allowed her to be proficient in several different positions from receptionist, dental assistant, and now dental hygienist. Paula graduated from Cambrian College in Sudbury Ontario in 2008 with a diploma in Dental Hygiene. She is extremely passionate about dental hygiene; she loves the caring and educational aspects of her profession. Paula has a passion for learning, she takes continuing education very seriously expanding her knowledge in her field every chance she can. Her gentle techniques, calming personality, and attention to detail ensure each experience is a pleasant one.
